I cant think of sonic adventure two as actual Tails game play.. he played more like the robot form adventure..

Adventure one had some, but not much compared to the other characters. All Tails DID was race people.. so no. thats not Enough said.

Besides if Shadow, a character who has been in what, three four games, cna have a good game, why not give Tails and the other characters games as well? the only character who wouldn't work well with a huge game by themselves would proably be big. further insight into knuckles and rouge woudl also be cool to see. Shadow had his time, as did sonic. Now its hte other character's turn to shine. I mean im not a huge fan of knuckles.. but he could havea decent brawler exploration game if sega made it.

OBJECTION!!

First SA1 Tails saved station square from Eggman by himself, he didn't just race, did you like not play SA1 or just forget? SA2 you just said Tails could be a loner cause he can make things like walkers and rockets and arm cannons or whatever, he made the cyclone so he did go alone in SA2 for a short amount of time. Now for your wholeidea of giving character's there game, Knuckles had his time in Dark brotherhood, he knows everything pretty much so storywise theres no point. Silver is the only character that needs a game to work on his character and backstory, Blaze is pretty much set, Tails kinda doesin't need a game of his own he just needs some times to himself like in SA1 and 2, Knuckles is sorta being worked on in Dark brotherhood, Shadow is set, Rouge...does anyone care about her, Amy kinda needs the same treatment she got in SA1. Also why Shadow got his own game so quickly is cause his fanbase was huge even compared to Sonic and Tails, so of course he would get his own game reflecting his darker side with guns and explosions thats just how things work

objection denied.
That was only one boss fight, where right before it, tails complained about how 'scared he was' adn the only reason he even fought Robotnik is because the people cheered him on. SA2 he had small missions yes, but he only ever used the Walker, outside of Chao garden you dont see normal Tails style game play. no flying, nothing like that. I also point out tha dark brother hood is an Rpg made by RPG pros, not sega or nintendo. As for Shadow's fan base.. Tails has had a much larger one for much longer. Sonic 2 onwards. As a hardcore Miles prower fan, I did not like being unable to do any of the cool Tails things hes done for each game since.. Even Battle had flight!

The fact that an RPG made by an outside company seemed (haven't played it myself so im just using what I have heard..) to do a better job with the characters than Sega has lately seems a bit wrong..

just had an extra thought. Its fine for Taisl to drive a mecah around.. he has driven things hes built since Sonic adventure, but if it had worked like Shadows later game, Id ave been better. where tails could exit or use a mecha when he needed or wanted to. Instead of just using him a sa full copy of Eggman's game play.

So in SA1 you would rather Tails and Sonic play exactly the same? The whole point of multiple stories was to have multiple gameplay modes, Tails racing against Sonic and Eggman fits fine with his character, cause he tries to be better then them through racing. Still saving Station square by himself was the fact he went solo, along with that did you really expect Tails to go from sidekick to main hero as soon as he appeared from crashing his plane? That makes no sense, Tails had to grow as a character through his story, not just be brave all of a sudden. This is called character growth, also Tails' story was very short one boss fight is about 1/10th of it, if your really fast you can clear Tails' story in 30 minutes, so really Tails did go solo through his short story for about 10% of it, along with finding a chaos emerald and making the tornado 2, so there 20% of his story all done by himself, thats pretty good really.

As for SA2, Tails beat Eggman again, after Sonic 'died' at the end of both stories and used his tech knowledge to destory things, and like you said, he could make and use arm cannons and stuff so he doesn't need Sonic, so whats wrong with the walker, its weaponary so you really have nothing to complain about.

As for Brotherhood, the characters sucked in that game, they were really off character, Knuckles doesn't get mad at Sonic if hes acts like an ass to him, thats very off character. Tails is really hardly there if im honest, only characters that are right is Sonic and Eggman. Also RPG pros? Your way off, Bioware did make the game, but it was a completely new team, brotherhood was there first game, there not pros if that team was there first game.

For the Shadow vs Tails fan base, I want to point out Shadow was supposed to die in SA2, but the fan base grew so big so fast, he was returned in heroes, then his past was questionable and wanted to be explain, so they made his game. So there you go, unless Tails dies in one game and comes back in another, Shadow has the bigger fanbase. Supply and demand, people want a Shadow game more then they want a Tails game back then, now everyone wants a 2D game with classic Sonic, and what do you know, Sonic 4 is coming this summer. The popular demand is 2D sonic, not Tails game.

well, from wat i see, gittin dis thread back on topic, if i could change 1 thing bout tails, it would be........the way he look i guess. cant really think a anything to change bout tails :/
